Diablo isn't a MMO. Destiny and Diablo (and Borderlands, Kingdom of Amalur, ... ) are loot based games. If the loot stagnates, the franchise dies.

Borderlands and diablo allow you to get your favorite gear back when they increase the level cap. Bungie hasn't done such a thing.
