The game is meant for entertainment and not endless grinding, so what's fun about constantly using the same gear for every activity?

Me too it's my favorite gun in the whole game but I think it's time to move on and try some fresh new guns. You understand what I'm getting at?

No, I get it, but Bungie should make a compromise and give us an item that ascends 1-3 pieces of gear/guns. I'd say that's fair. Also, they should stick to their words. Too often do they back step from their promises.
