As seen in the beginning of this new console announcement, Halo 5 will be rated Teen. What are your thoughts? Personally I don't care either way.
Edit: Trending!
Edit 2: Nice to hear everyone's opinions! Keep them coming.

3 RepliesWhen was Halo ever violent enough for M beyond Flood?
-
4 RepliesEh, what disappoints me is that this all but guarantees that the flood will not be returning since that was the reason for the M rating if memory serves. Forgive me if ancient space zombies from precursors who left us a universe we don't fully understand was a bit more interesting to me than "turns out the precursors were just rigid, dickish humans who hate humans because -blam!- them that's why".
-
2 RepliesI don't really care, its still halo. The only thing is i feel that 343 is aiming to make the game a bit more "child friendly." In halo 4, they took out a significant amount of blood in campaign and multiplayer, and they also went about referring to enemies as "bad guys." Its not really a problem, but it feels a bit silly sometimes.
-
Honestly, most of the Halo games should have probably been rated T, so I'm ok with the rating
-
2 RepliesIt just means there's no gore.
-
Well halo 4 was not very violent.. And there was no language.. Soooooo.. Im not very suprised they gave it a rating appropriate..
-
2 RepliesThat is going to limit the game well -blam!-
-
At least I get to pwn more noobs.
-
Halo 3, odst and 4 had the teen equivalent in Australia and it was fine
-
2 RepliesThat is bad.... very bad, destiny showed how many idiotic children buy teen games...
-
5 RepliesWars was rated teen. I guess Destiny is showing people that an FPS can get away with a T rating? That's honestly the only thing I can think of. And why are the Elder Scrolls rated Mature? Nothing in those is worse than a Pg-13 film.

4 RepliesYou shitting me?
-
Oh god... NOT HALO!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOOOO

*dies*
-
Makes sense since it's just mild swearing (hell, damnit, etc.) and since the Flood is out of the game (for now, at least) it really makes sense.

5 RepliesEdited by Pay Twice: 8/5/2015 12:50:45 AM
Just played Ground Zeros and watched a little girl have her stomach pulled open and a bomb pulled out of a gooey pile of intestines and organs while she was conscious. Anyone thinking Halo should be rated M (with no Flood) and have the same rating is sorely mistaken.
1 ReplySo Batman was rated M and Halos now rated T ...huh...
-
Coolio.
-
5 RepliesIn all honesty, it was coming. Ever since the original trilogy ended, and the flood no longer was part of the game, the games have barely been M. ODST was only M because it had heavier language, Reach couldn't be T because everyone dies, and Halo 4 could have eked out a T were it not for Cortana boobs.
-
2 RepliesI don't care because 1. I'm on Psn 2. The rating dosent mean it's going to be better or worse.
-
30 RepliesAnother reason not to buy it
-
2 RepliesMakes no difference to me. Everything so far is appealing. I don't buy a game based on it's M or T rating etc.
-
1 ReplyEdited by Crimson Lupi: 8/5/2015 1:47:18 PMEh? It was always rated 15/16. I don't see the fuss
-
13 RepliesI think it was only rated M because of the flood.
-
4 RepliesEdited by AfghaniClownPcrn: 8/5/2015 3:18:10 PMIt's supposed to be the darkest one yet, so that's kind of a suprise
And I'm in it :)
I don't know much about how they rate them, but doesn't the ESRB rate the game, and not the company producing the game? If so, then all that this means is that there's nothing in the game worth making it rated mature, a.k.a. Cortana or the flood
-
Most of the time halo was pretty much a t rated game, i never got the M, little to no swearing, no real gore, killing aliens and not humans. Always seemed weird
