Buying the Taken King? Read this....
The Taken King should be changed to The King of Taken your Money.
The DLC is overpriced at $40.
It is not worth $40...Activi$ion....as we ALL well know...is disgusting when it comes to scamming people.
Destiny is on its last leg with milking beyond belief since both Bungie and Activi$ion know that all the good games are coming out soon (SW Battlefront, Uncharted 4, Deus Ex, Doom, Fallout 4, Dishonored 2, Need for Speed 2015, etc.)

I will pay the £40. I will buy Star Wars 2 months later and I will probably enjoy both games. Hell I will even buy halo 5 and play the campaign with my friends, maybe play multiplayer too. If £40 does turn out to be a rip off, I live, I learn and just move on.

5 RepliesOut of all of those games? Which ones would you really go back and play? I only see star wars and maybe fallout 4 with replay value there. And fallout is mostly single player. I'll take paying $40 to play with a bigger community any day over that. I'm getting on that battlefront though!!

Even if I eat rice crackers every evening (a whole pack) I'll end up with a higher price. So tell me, why do a lot of people cry about this game being to expensive? *yes I bought the collector's editions of both, other people even pay less an hour..*

They also have to make sure that they can pay their employees and give them raises (for some reason people like those raises). Edit: EA is milking SWB just as much as bungie and activision are milking destiny. They cut out a lot of content and features that should be in there and still charging $60 for a Star Wars skin over a battlefield game. Not saying it will flop, it is Star Wars after all.

3 RepliesIf you think lowering the price from $40 to $20 would be beneficial for business in any way, then you know nothing about business. Even if doing that DOUBLED the amount of people who would buy it, which is unlikely, it would still end up being the same amount of profit for them. They worked hard on this content. And clearly they feel that it is worth $40. If they are wrong then we will deal with that in the coming weeks. But until it launches, you, me, and everyone else have no business trying to tell everyone else what it is worth to the playerbase. We simply don't know yet.
