I'd say the insecure ones are the ones wearing it, for obvious reasons.

Its just an emblem

It's kind of an achievement. Going 9-0 against others trying to do the same. Plus its an exotic emblem.

Its not obvious. If just wearing an emblem or shader pisses people off than those are weak minded individuals.
