Basically,lets say it deals 1/2 less damage. So now the damage you do is 1 1/2 units while it used to be 2 units. Since ghorn still reigns dps supreme,people will still want them on their team. BUT NOW,they would want more people with ghorns to compensate the less damage. This leads to increased elitism which isnt what bungie wants. Stupid bungie

If all weapons are at least close to equal then it's not that big of a deal what you use. [spoiler]This is a stupid comparison but I guess it works. If gjallarhorn is 20 points and other launchers are 15. 6 gjallar would've been 120 points. Other launchers would've been 90. That's a big difference. If gjallar is nerfed to 17 points. It's score would now only be 102 which is only marginally better than the other launchers.[/spoiler]

But it's still better and people want the quickest possible wsy. Since there are plenty of ghorn owners, they will only work together, effectively making the situation worse. Just watch out for "need 5 for Oryx raid ghorn only" posts. No one wants to spend extra time in pve activities
