Bland, story doesn't "pull" me in. The only positive thing about the series was during its prime days when it was on the MLG stage and attracted hype and those days are far behind it.

Read the books. The story is FAR from bland. The games are a supplement to the books when it comes to lore. You get the main stuff from the games, but the deeper stuff from the books.

Well I'll give you that. So far all the halos do have a bland story. Halo 4 tried, but it wasn't explained well enough in game. You had to go outside of the game to understand the story. Here's hoping for halo 5.
