Developers also don't always have choice as to what's in the final product. They should and Bungie could but for some reason refuse to use their power or choose not to. There's no reason they couldn't have absolute authority on it all. But for some reason they keep choosing the power houses like microsoft and now activision. They have the skill to say well if you don't want it in game then maybe it's not for your console / publishing house and choose where they go. But they don't. $ screams to them apparently. Once the starving artist has recognition they are supposed to go and produce their concept album then offer it cheap or free to their fans as thanks for letting me fill my belly.
