Etheric Light... Why can't I have you?
Well I've had HoW since day one and I can't get any etheric light. I don't have hardly anyone to do endgame stuff with. Except one Nightfall Strike that resulted in NO etheric light. And I havn't been able to do the harder Prison of Elders because of no matchmaking. Only the lvl 32 arena once that doesn't give etheric light. AND IT WAS SO HARD! I missed the Iron Banner because I happened to go and visit family the week before and didn't know the Iron Banner was going to come up while I was gone. The Iron Banner was the ONLY reason I made it to lvl 32 with my hunter during Dark Below. Bungie please give us an easier way to get etheric light. Or something. Their has got to be an easier way. Please someone help me!!!!

Bro Use the recruitment section of these forums, for each post I've made I get at least 6-8 requests on PSN. There should be no reason why you can't run the higher level PoE, there are also plenty of LFG sites that are just as easy to use. Matchmaking is not the answer for end game content.

So I had a similar problem at first. If you don't have time to play 32 and 34 OR nightfall, then there is really not much you can do. You can get Etheric Light through Iron Banner. I know you said you missed it but if that is something that you would be willing to do I would suggest you do it. If you do not have a regular party to play POE or Nightfall, then this might not help you, but in order to get to LVL 34 and to be able to survive the tougher challenges I would suggest you do, you might want to try and play 32, get the armor core, get yourself light 42 gear and slowly crawl to 34. Thats what I did. I only used 1 etheric light each to get 2 out of 3 chars to 34. (I used 2 for the warlock because I failed to complete POE 3 times in that week, one of the things that sucks if you have a regular life but an irregular gaming schedule) But all in all I agree. The system of how to get etheric lights totally -blam!-s everybody who does not have time to play many hours several days a week. and dont get me started on POE 35, i have not done it once.

You either get a flurry of responses right away or you don't get any in 5 min, depends on the time and the day. I don't find the 32/34 poe that hard to be honest but its not like I don't die in them either. If someone is a 32 or so you need at least two or at the very least one 34 or else it will be rough going. If they made an in-game lfg that might be better but we'll probably have to throw dolla bills at the tv to get that. Good luck

Ive met a shit load of people and i just add them after i play, i could go on pretty much any time of the day and have people to play with its not hard to make friends so theres really no excuse for not being able to do end game content.

1 Replydude you don't want to be worrying about etheric light until you get one of your toons to 34. EL is the endgame content for HOW and you aren't there yet. Have patience! Get your toon to at least 33 first by doing L32 PoE and winning armour cores. Buy the gear from Variks each week and consider xurning an exotic with a high minimum light level. You can do POE 34 as a 33 if you have two good team mates with you and you stay out of trouble. Don't rely on DestinyLFG for these good team mates though... if you don't communicate about who is doing what you won't get through. If you're around on Monday or Tuesday night GMT and you're on XBL then hit me up on this GT and I will run L32 with you and see if we can get you on your way. Don't give up and keep your light safe.
