What happened to the guy that trained the spartans in Halo:The Fall of reach? He left without coming back.

After training the SPARTAN-IIs, he was requested by Kurt-051 to assist him in training the SPARTAN-IIIs. Eventually he would find himself trapped in Shield 0006, where he, Dr. Halsey, and Blue Team would be rescued by Kilo-5.

Mendez? No, dude, he kept going. Ghosts of Onyx, he's the guy training the Spartan-III's. Got rescued from Onyx after the war and recently appeared in Hunt The Truth. He did the exact opposite of disappear.
