Nobody seems to care that the thorn shoots small blades, not actual bullets. I feel like that should bother people concerned with this sort of thing more than a gun design.

I read somewhere that the Thorn doesn't actually have those spikes inside of it. The "ammo" drum you put in is a mini Hive portal, which takes these spikes from Traveler-knows where and flings them out of the gun. While "spess mahjik" is a pretty lame excuse for how the guns work, the Thorn is supposed to be pretty weird, so I'll give it a pass.

It bugs me actually. It looks bad. Like your firing those spikes at the top of fence gates.
