No seriously... I'm trying to figure the armor core / etheric light thing out... I got an etheric light from nf... but not sure how this armor core thing works.

Go to Variks and trade in your armor core for the Gaunlets he has. They're light 42.

Armor core and weapon cores allow you to buy weapons and pieces of armor from House of Judgement guy

I didn't want the fusion so I broke it down, but i didn't get a weapon core... are they just RNG drops from completing?

Completing PoE Level 32 arena will give you an armor core and Level 34 will give you a weapon core. No other confirmed ways of getting these anywhere else.
