Actually it's not since other players being level 34 has no impact on my gameplay or my overall destiny experience.

That's being ignorant. "Oh it doesn't affect me so why should I care." Is what you're saying. So if someone was getting robbed and you say you would be like "oh I'm not getting robbed so why should I care"?
