As much as i agree that PVP is a source of unfortunate change, there does seem to be a good number of PVE Players that ask for nerfs. I can't say all the nerf requests are from PVE dudes but (coming from a PvE primarly playing dude) PVE players think they're "all that" in Destiny and get shwacked in PVP and think the game is out of whack.
I think there does need to be constant tweaking of weapons/classes and I don't believe it is balanced right now (example Felwinter, Thorne, Pulse rifles being OP), but just to say that it may not be the PVP Players but more the PVE players.

Exactly this. Pve players don't realize that a lot of the weapons that are "op" don't realize that those weapons were made for pvp, so when they see them in pvp they cry for nerfs because their pve gear isn't as good
