The ONLY rebuttal I can think of to an otherwise well thought out post is this;
If Bungie REALLY wanted to keep both sets of players happy they could easily do so. They were able to adjust ammo drops in PvP. Didnt do a thing to PvE.
They can apply a level advantage in the IB and turn it off in vanilla Crucible. Doesn't affect PvE.
Why did the weapons tuning affect both?
Because that's what BUNGIE wanted. No one wants weaker weapons against AI. NO ONE.
Bungie wanted us to use a wider variety of weapons so that the loot drops would ALL seem more valuable making us grind longer and harder to receive all the weapons / gear in the game.
If you were perfectly happy wrecking everythung with Suros then you wouldn't have any reason to keep playing in the hopes of receiving Red Death.
In short; You give the PvP community too much credit. It's all about the grind and sustained playing time... and making us think it's our own fault.
I love the game. Don't get me wrong. I just see it for what it is. A reason to keep some players playing in all facets of the game.
