I've never even wanted a nerf till thorn became this ubiquitous.
Sorry but I'm going to continue to enjoy both aspects of the game. Thorn not being a two shot in crucible or losing a range isn't going to hurt a competent player in who is doing a PVE activity.
I happen to enjoy both pve and pvp. I doubt there are any players who only play one aspect all the time.
So still want a nerf, you're kinda being a dick and ruining fun just like the people you describe, and most people who play PVP also play pve. That pretty much sums it up. Have fun being bitter :)

-blam!- PvP. I try to only play PvE if I can help it.
-
And that's cool, but I bet you might drop in sometimes for iron banner or appreciate the crucible when you're super bored. I also bet that you wouldn't mind if thorn received a slight nerf. Wouldn't affect you in any way.
-
What they should do is create two of each weapon in their database. Clones if you will. Then they could modify the Crucible clones of each weapon while leaving the PvE variants untouched.
-
Only true way to balance pvp is to make the load out separate from pve.. The way the game is now there will always be op wepons...
-
So, basically what I said? Split up PvE and PvP?
-
Not really. Only way to make it balance is to give everyone the same options of wepons. Not just a weaker clone of the wepons they have.
-
Ah. So CoD.

Edited by crazeeavery: 5/12/2015 11:52:07 PMPretty much lol which ant going to happen so there will always be op wepons and someone crying about it...
-
Their tears feed me XD

I would be so happy with that. You have no idea. The hand cannon nerf crushed my precious Timur's lash with Crowd control/field scout/clown cartridge to bits in PvE :( I want it back.
-
Oh, you mean the Range nerf?
-
Everyone can get thorn. It isn't rng and isn't difficult to obtain. If you don't like t being used against you because you think it's too powerful, get yourself one and use it. If it's so op you should never lose again.
-
Lol that's such a ridiculous argument. I have two that are fully maxed out. I don't need to use it to win, and when I do use it it saps the fun out of crucible. Everyone likes different guns- most people are just more concerned with winning than diversifying weapon choices. I'd rather do both.
-
Point is, thorn is fine as it is. I personally use other guns more when I do pvp. No need to nerf it because you get killed by it more frequently than you'd like.
-
That's not why though. It would be great if it was a simple issue of me getting killed by it. That's not the problem. The problem is that thorn has the highest reliable (meaning at any range the weapon has non falloff and every time (you don't need to hipfire, etc)) time to kill in the game. Two shots at .36 seconds. That's extremely fast. This, coupled with high range, good aim assist, fast reload, high mag size, and great stability makes it a weapon with literally no downsides. Every gun should have its squishy areas. Thorn doesn't. It has an A+ in every subject, so to speak. That's why it should, in my opinion, be nerfed. It's a fact that the weapon excels beyond all other primaries in the crucible barring TLW and Red Death (though it is considerably better as a general rule), and I believe that's an unbalancing force in the crucible. I want it to be nerfed, which will allow a larger focus on variety in the crucible. I disagree with a 2 gun multiplayer. That's why. Not cuz I'm butthurt :)

If they nerf it, they should only nerf its PvP version. Leave its PvE stats alone.

I agree
