As many of you probably know, Bungie released a bunch of info on the House of Wolves, including a release date, which is May 19th. Apparently, this is only a sliver of the coverage about to come. They also announced the Trials of Osiris, finally. So, if you haven't seen the Bungie blog posts, the new DLC will NOT feature a raid like everyone expected, but a new "Arena" mode known as "The Prison of Elders", which is the prison somewhere in the Reef which has belonged to the Awoken out there. It seems that when the House of Wolves betrayed the Awoken, one of their first courses of action was to release/restore the prisoners incarcerated in the Prison of Elders, which us Guardian's will somehow have to stop. This also most likely contains the long-awaited return of the Queen's Wrath event, which may or may not last undiminished. (Not unlike Crota's Bane). The Trials of Osiris was also announced (This is what I am most excited for), which is a very competitive Crucible game type, there's also supposed to be an Exotic hand cannon going for it. Other than those three main things there are a supposed three new story missions, a new Strike, and a Reef social area, and maybe even a "Patrol the Reef" option. My guess for the Exotic weapons is that there will be four (again). The 347 Vesta Dynasty - Probably just a normal Exotic drop, like the No Land Beyond. The Trials of Osiris gun - Was a hand cannon, but this may have been changed. The Lord of Wolves - Most likely if you can beat the final boss in the Prison of Elders, which is the guy you see a lot of in the trailer. And finally, a PS-exclusive gun (yipee for us Xbox users) - Not unlike the 4th Horseman, which hopefully will suck as well *troll face* My speculation for the Prison of Elders is that the House of Wolves has raided the Prison of Elders to restore and rescue the prisoners. Our goal is to survive as long as possible by killing waves of Fallen, which builds up to bosses, which when defeated will drop loot, until you get to a [i]final[/i] boss. The Queen will probably give you support, by sending in some Awoken soldiers, ammo, and maybe even some new vehicle to destroy with.
