If you're on mobile, use the Imgur app. There should be a copy link option after you upload a picture, and don't worry I just figured this whole thing out too. :/

Upload to imgur, open image in new tab, copy the url(should end in .jpg, if not, just add it to the end), then paste the url in the very top of the post where it says URL: Good luck.
