Name-brand cables are the biggest racket in electronics & computers. You'd get the same exact audio or video signal with a no-name cable and save yourself 80% of the price.

I pay next to nothing for my monster cables... Been using them forever... I have always been happy with the results... Not sure why people are insulting me, I spend what I want on my gaming stuff and I prefer to buy the best...

You said "I prefer to buy the best"... Which means you're either completely uninformed, falling for a sales pitch... Or a combination of these two to form a blind cluelessness. There is no "best"... It either works, or it doesn't work. A digital signal either goes through, or it doesn't. That's why there's no fuzz if you use rabbit ears. You either got the picture, no picture at all, or a frozen picture if you lose signal while watching. A $1 HDMI cable is totally identical to a $100 cable.

Get2dachoppa is completely, 100% correct. It's a digital signal. You will absolutely not get a better signal from a $100 cable than a $5 cable. The picture will look exactly the same, or the sound will sound exactly the same. A digital signal either works, or it doesn't, plain and simple, end of story. The only advantage you gain by purchasing an expensive cable is the longevity or durability of the outer cable itself. It may last you a year or 2 longer, but at a huge price difference. Only you can determine if that's worth it for you or not. But don't be fooled into thinking Monster Cables give you the "best" audio or video signal, there's not a shred of truth to it. I've been in the business almost 30 years, guess what the highest margin % items are in my store?................cables.........
