I'm really hoping for that weapon shader concept. Someone on YouTube did a full presentation on how it could work. Black Suros looks so cool.

Good point. He pretty much made a visually working demonstration. Bungie just has to get rid of the fear or Rainbow Guardians. There would be a lot more sleek looking Guardians than distasteful looking Guardians if they allowed further shader customization on weapons and gear.

Why would they be afraid of rainbow guardians? The ability to make my armor pink with purple kitty faces on it is what I want from a game.
