I would say don't get it but not because it's inaccurate, because of the low mag size.
I've just been grinding PvP to get enough crucible marks for TFWPKY which is a lot better in my opinion (although the return to sender perk only seems to work once in a blue moon).

Really, I tried it out on the dark beyond and it worked well. I've fired 19 shots in one mag before just by getting it to activate often.

Well I've only had it since yesterday, but when using it this morning it worked so infrequently it might as well not be there at all...
