For those who don't believe in evolution...
It really isn't a debate, evolution is a fact. Its not subject to belief or disbelief, its reality. A scientific theory is a proven hypothesis. Evolution is a theory, just like Gravity, and Cells are "just a theory". Micro and Macro evolution are fake concepts invented by creationists in order to debunk it. Clearly, that did not work. Evolution has been directly observed in animals with short lifespans like fruit flies. If you are going to reject direct, peer reviewed observation, yet trust in the bible, or the Qur'an or any holy book. You are creating a double standard. The burden of proof is on us, and it has been met time and time again.

Edit: I'm gonna rewrite this post as I don't like the message it is portraying and some of the feedback it has received. I just don't personally like how it was wriited and the circumstances it was written in check back in a couple hours for the new one.

57 RepliesThe fossil record is not adequate evidence and that's pretty much the only thing in the way of proof the theory has to back it up. Its called skepticism and its the only way we ever really find out if something is true or not especially when it comes to deductive arguments. Anybody that puts their blind faith into a theory without looking at the evidence thus conforming to scientific orthodox deserves a Darwin Award.

Claiming a scientific theory as fact is incorrect. They have wide bases of evidence and substantiation, but are always subject to more studies, more experiments, etc. that may provide more information, more proof, or even disprove the theory, in which case a more accurate theory will, hopefully take their place. The fact that they are testable and falsifiable is what makes them theories. It's semantics, but it's important, since this is part of the foundation of how science works. Evolution's a very good theory, though. Edit: apparently, if one uses the scientific definition of fact, then evolution is one. It is not a fact in the general sense, however. So depending on the definition used, it's both
