No the open part is in the main city your in but the map stages are huge and yes you can customize all of your skills with ones you prefer and boots you attributes to how you play based on if you use ki more or more of a tank melee player and etc. you can also customize what clothes you where and all that

hmmmm ok if it was more open world and with quests to do would be a billions times better get exp from killing things to level up would be amazing and also is it online and are you able to fight friends and other people etc

Yes it is online you can do quests with friends through online parallel quests or fight them in online battles and yea ok what you mean but they made the game to take all of the DBZ sagas and basically revive them the story is awesome aside form boring dialogue in cutscenes but the concept and play of the story is really good and follows the whole show from start to finish and it's not easy it can get really difficult because the ai is not entirely dumb lol it takes the old DBZ games button mashing out and you have I actually be strategic in how you battle
