We don't know much about them unfortunately.

They were the first civilization They fought gods born from stars and they're immortal legions They created the irks as the ultamite super weapon and once they realized how -blam!-ed this universe was they ascended to a higher form of existence

They also created the Slann who in turn created the Eldar and Orks. Powerful, but not enough to put them up against other species.
