The bible has been translated and edited (particularly the King James Version) hundreds of times to fit in with a single churches standards. The fact that a single delusional king who thought himself hand-picked by God had the authority to mend anything is crazy in itself. I could imagine that there is some original content left over in the King James Version, but the majority of its strict and overbearing themes are not to be taken literally. Let me also comment that the beginning of the Old Testament is often thought to be fiction. The method of creation, whether "He" created two or one hundred at one time, is a simpleton theory.
