Doubles is a bad mess and needs to be fixed now.
Anybody and I mean ANYBODY will switch to thorn or last word/plan c when losing. Supers should NOT be in this playlist. I lost a win before because apparently a stupid bladedancer did not die from a direct nova bomb to the face. It is so frustrating to be wiped out by a random super in a playlist that is supposed to be about teamwork. GET RID of blink and shotgun, I mean wow. This is just the pinnacle of shit game design.
If you are a hunter with blink and shotgun, I will ignore you. If you use thorn or last word or any type of OP weapon, I will ignore you. I am dead serious. How can Bungie release a super popular playlist from halo and shit on it? I mean come on; doubles in destiny is an absolute joke. From the small bit of it I played, I always get matched up with hunters using either blink and shotgun, bladedancer, panic gun, and thorn/the last word. BAN switching weapons in doubles. If someone chooses to start with a weapon and are fooling around with it and then just switch to thorn, they should risk eviction. This is shit game design, bungie, and you people know it. As someone who actually wants to see doubles survive, give us the balance patch date in the update tomorrow

"Something killed me, it's OP, nerf, nerf, nerf!" I lost about 5 games of doubles last night. Know why? The players we faced were better than us. I won 3 games last night. Know why? We were better than the players we faced. If you're going to cry when you get killed you may find patrol less stressful. Edit, one thing I do think would make doubles better is no heavy ammo.

Never 2v2 skirmish before but can definitely relate to your frustration regarding -The blink shotgun combination -The Last Word/Thorn over usage -And hunters The blink/shotgun, I agree and them some. It comes down to the Gaurdian and how he/she wants to be remembered. teabagging/dancing after 30 straight shotgun kills < wave after ONE sniper kill Last Word and Hawkmoon can't touch Thorn. Thorn does more than kill, it f's with the psyche of Gaurdians. Objectives, teammates, fighting back--everything that matters takes a back seat to survival. It feels like you can only deal with Thorn. I run...run and live and accept the sad reality I'm helping my team win by doing so. Hunters lol...just look at their ability kills Restore the balance of power! Revert the REGIME. Their needs to be fear again. No more of this reckless abandon,"I'm gonna do what I want because no one can stop me."

1) Try and find a better partner and communicate with your buddy 2) If you're gonna rush them, expect to get thorned, vexed, shotgunned or fusion rifled in the face. These are the most popular weapons in Crucible 3) Try ranged weapons, i usually deal with thorn users at a far range with a sniper

Well.. it seems like you're mad. No complaints about Fusion Rifles? All the maps are tiny maps. It makes sense to use Shotguns. Blink is not even needed.

1 ReplyI shot a warlock with golden gun just as he activated his nova bomb. I hit him before he ever got his nova bomb off. And he didn't die. A slight bit of health left. I died to his bomb talk about bs.
