3 RepliesThe Trolley Problem is kinda creepy. It says pull the trigger, it's the right thing to do. Why is that creepy? Well, a trolley problem is that stupid movie scenario where a guy has to choose between a friend or a bunch of people he doesn't know. Pulling the trigger on this fusion rifle implies killing a member of the darkness. We can assume this is forgoing the needs of the few for the needs of the many, but letting a villain die isn't a trolley problem. This implies that perhaps the 'aliens' aren't so evil, and that our defeat is the only way for them to live. Oh my gosh, I just came up with some crazy theory.
