Autos are supposed to act like smg's, they just haven't been.

AR's are suppost to act like AR's, which they do. An SMG fires pistol rounds and is smaller than an AR. SMG's are pretty much automatic pistols. Although they both are automatic weapons, they're two different things. P.S. I don't mean to be a "know-it-all". I'm just stating some facts.

It's all good! And yes, your facts are right on the money. But, I meant that the AR is meant to fill the niche that smg's would want to fill. They would overlap and compete.

This is useless since AR's are already great from mid-short range to high-mid range. In other words your OP is correct. haha thats what you get from taking real facts into Destiny. Destiny breaks rules.
