I was looking at all the weapon types, and really there's a good diversity already. The only things I thought of were as follows:
Primary -
Charge Rifle - basically a single projectile shot, very high damage version of a Fusion Rifle. Sort of like the Rail Gun from Halo.
Secondary -
Marksman Rifle - Basically a medium range weapon. Between a Scout Rifle and Sniper, with a faster fire rate.
Heavy -
Chaingun - a charge or slow fire weapon that deals damage to a group of enemies by chaining damage between them. This would basically be a good PvE crowd control weapon or if used well in the Crucible you could get group kills that wouldn't be possible with a direct fire weapon like the Machine Gun or an area of damage weapon like the Rocket Launchers.
And my only other weapon ideas.... well, all of our enemies have really interesting weapons. Why not allow us to be able to use their weapons? I really like the idea of the Vandal's wire rifles and the Hive shredders and boomers.
And finally, since I'm on a roll, I thought of some interesting Super Ability/Class ideas:
Warlocks -
Halo of Light - Generate multiple (4-5) seeking projectiles of Arc energy that attack closeby enemies. If one of the seekers kills an enemy, it deals damage around the enemy in a small radius. It would be an un-aimed Super, the seekers would just generate around you and fire off when an enemy comes close to you. (Think of the magic used in Dark Souls, that ring of projectiles that attacks enemies when they get close)
Titans -
Berserker - Gather the power of fire around you as you become a moving tank. Increased speed and damage output as well as almost instant melee recharge and range as you pound through a crowd of enemies. Possibly a small field of Solar energy would deal damage in a very small radius around you as well, maybe as an upgrade perk.
Hunter - (I thought of two here because I thought the first one might be too OP, and because Hunters already have a melee/close range type super)
Rift - Create a Sword of Void Light, with maybe 2 attacks available in the super, that do heavy Void damage with each strike directly in front of you. It would be like the normal Hive Sword supers, but with lasting Void Damage in an area in front of you. Perk upgrades would extend range, width, or uses of the Sword. Perks gained while using the sword would be high armor/damage resistance as you're coated in Void Light.
Pack Symbiosis - Gather Void around yourself and your teammates to increase their movement, aiming, reload, and (possibly with a perk upgrade) health/shield regeneration speeds for a short amount of time. The Hunter using the ability would get an overshield (since Hunters are the only class that doesn't have some sort of overshield adding ability) and their increases to speed would be much higher than that of their teammates. (This would be helpful in the Crucible, but it would be especially good for Raids. And this one is less thought out than the other. Other related ideas or perk upgrades or whatever would definitely be appreciated.)
