Spring of 2016 is what I believe the release is aimed for.
When they say 10 years in the making, they include the first day someone was like "Hey I got this idea for a game..." since then it could have been on a back burner while working on other things, when they finally got down to it, it may have taken 3-5 years at most I would think.
The 3-5 years is a guess
