Weird Whispers Heard in the Game
I am surprised no one else has heard them, but there has been at least two times when I have heard someone whisper a word to me in the game. I don't remember where (maybe Venus?) or what the first one said but I do remember the second one. At the tower, I stopped talking to the Shipwright and was leaping over the twisted cords to the left and heard someone whisper "escape."
Now the first one I heard I was playing with a friend online and he did not hear it. However, the second one my brother was watching me play and heard "escape" too. So maybe only I could hear it on my screen?
I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I am a level 26 Hunter and have both the expansion and have completed the main storyline.
Has anyone else heard this?

Sometimes chat/ audio glitches. I hear convos and random tower venders occasionally when arriving to the tower. Usually 1s or less

its subliminal messages telling you to kill your parents stop playing the game before its to late

Before you start the Half Life 3 theories, ask yourself this: [i]Was I in public/fireteam chat while in Skywatch/The Tower/other?[/i] I know I've done this before, and once i heard this kid get screamed at by his mom. 2 RepliesWhen I was on Earth, I forgot exactly where but I went into a cave and there were some remains on the floor and when I examined them it started whispering to me. Every now and then I will hear random things when patrolling or in the tower

5 RepliesI heard some crazy screaming in the tower last night, and not the jumping off the side punched in the stomach sounding grunt. Or my neighbor may have been killing his wife and my surround sound is just too loud.

It's the game subconscious telling you to put the controller down for a while. "Escape"

Yeah one mission before it starts the Speaker starts yakking and after he stopped talking he whispered escape.

During Halloween, if you opened the Vault in the Tower and waiting a minute or so you could hear a creepy scream. Opened the vault a few times to hear this.

3 RepliesYou can hear whispers in the hive seeder in skywatch, as well as the tower near the speaker (not the speaker speaking though.) I've also heard whispers on various parts of the moon, and Venus.. Oddly enough I've yet to hear whispers on Mars, which is where I spend most of my patrol time trying to get the right mats.. They do say various things such as escape, the darkness is coming, and I even believe I've heard someone whisper to turn around.. (In which when I did I saw something dart to the side, however proceeded through the darkness without being attacked.) Your not crazy, this game has a grim fit to it from time I time.. [spoiler]either that or we both belong in the psych ward..[/spoiler]
