Wrong, what was provided in the description of destiny was an experience which a lot of us felt was cut short or completely devoid of. "Just a game" would be a description you would give to something like candy crush in which you know you what you are getting into, soulless button pushing.

Yeah I have little hope for this generation, you are likely a child and take videogames too seriously, books, videogames, movies are all meant to take up time and be hobbies. They are not a lifestyle.
