You cant compare old console games to new ones. Back then if the frame rate fell no one cared. The games didnt take as long or as much to develop. Not to mention you now have to have constant support for games via updates. I know they more or less cut out the entire story and wrote it in 3 months (everything ive read points to this). But it was still a much larger project than any game 20 years ago. Your right to be dissapointed given what they showed for about 2 years leading up to launch. But its unfair to say those old games are better. Back then your view on games was completely different, like everyone, and picking them up now brings happy memories that will keep the game fun even tho, in comparison, they are pretty awful.
