You cant compare old console games to new ones. Back then if the frame rate fell no one cared. The games didnt take as long or as much to develop. Not to mention you now have to have constant support for games via updates.
I know they more or less cut out the entire story and wrote it in 3 months (everything ive read points to this). But it was still a much larger project than any game 20 years ago.
Your right to be dissapointed given what they showed for about 2 years leading up to launch. But its unfair to say those old games are better. Back then your view on games was completely different, like everyone, and picking them up now brings happy memories that will keep the game fun even tho, in comparison, they are pretty awful.

I guess I can see where you are coming from. I wasn't comparing the quality or the support for the game. I was comparing the replay value and the lasting memory that it set into my heart. None of those games are good because I played them as a child. As a child I couldn't hardly complete the first hour of them. Later in my life I've gladly went back to complete many classic video games. I just feel nothing is created with the user in mind only their wallet. That's all I'm saying, I feel as if activision made their money here and they will again in a day or so with cod. That's all they want, they took away bungies ability to love their game, and their fans. I just found it funny that every halo since combat evolved to reach was amazing. Then destiny the greatest of all their projects sucks. It's truly impossible I'd bet my legs it was sabotage or the story writer left because of activisions contract and had the right to be paid for the 85% that he had written and they refused to pay.
