Internet slows down when external hard drive plugged in... anyone know why?
Hey does anyone know why plugging in a certain WD Passport Ultra into my macbook pro would cause the internet to suddenly slow down? As soon as I eject the drive the internet speed goes back to normal. Very weird. I have low space remaining on my internal HDD - could that be the reason?

1 ReplyIt might be just the computer's processing slows. Have you specifically watched the numbers change for Internet speed or is this just a passive observation?
