Then why would anyone wear an exotic class armour? It would just be a waste

Exactly. You should remember hat exotics are just cooler Legendaries with one or two special abilities. If you think an exotic cape looks epic, you might as well wear it. I'll check the datamined, but I have only seen 3 exotic class items a class (all of them are faction rewards)

No what i meant my question to be is: For example i put on an fwc exotic armband. Can i still wear an actual piece of armour that is exotic as well?
