This is about exotics.
Is it true that you can only equip one exotic in your inventory at a time, or can you equip one on your weapons side and one on your gear side? And what about exotic class items?

They answered your question of 1 gun 1 armour, but I would like to add that you can equip any exotic ships/sparrows/shells/shaders/emblems (and as many as you want)

one exotic weapon and one exotic armor piece at a time. This includes the class spasific armor. You can have as many exotics in your invatory at a time.

Judging from the Lv. 29 Titan gameplay footage, I believe you can equip one exotic weapon, as well as one exotic armor. No clue about exotic class items, though (if they even exist).
