Despite the sarcasm in this thread, and as much as I enjoy the beta for what it is, I'm a bit disappointed over the fact that the people who preordered didn't get an emblem, it's whoever was on the beta between a certain time on a certain date. Now personally I had to be away on Saturday but some people had work and obligations to attend. I'm not even disappointed over the moon mission because I will still be able to play it when the game comes out. But being in the alpha, and the beta, me having to miss 1 day disabled me from getting a special emblem. I think I'm more let down over the fact that people who didn't even need to preorder the game could get this only because they had free time on Saturday.
tl;dr Would have been better to give the special emblem to all beta testers regardless of preorder instead of those who actually HAD free time on a Saturday between a specific time.

I pre-ordered and I'm getting an emblem. O_o I upgraded to limited edition for it though. Also, with the MILLILONSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS of people world wide who pre-ordered Destiny, if you got an emblem just for pre-ordering then you wouldn't be that special. You might see a few players on your server who didn't have it if that was the case. Just about everyone on my xbox live friends list pre-ordered Destiny.... and there's 100 of them bastards... how unique would that make us if that was the case for everyone reading this? On a side note. Almost no one "tested" the game. There's almost NO constructive feedback on the forums at all. It's most 90% wah wah wah I want I want I want gimme gimme gimme. Most Beta "testers" played it to play it and didn't give a rats ass about "testing" it and finding problems, errors or bugs with the game, which is what a Tester ACTUALLY does. So, if they gave an Emblem to the people who actually "Tested" the game, chances are you'd probably still be disappointed that you weren't getting one. Just sayin.

Nah, if the emblem represented people who tested the game I would be 100% fine with that. I just don't think you should get an emblem for being there on a specific date at a specific time. People can't even get around that sometimes. If it was all day, I can understand. It isn't really about being unique as it is to me not understanding the emblem for a specific date and time. As for testing of the game, I personally didn't have much time daily to play the game anyways, i played it for fun, that's what a beta is, try out the game, any bugs report it, anything unbalanced give feedback for. But personally I thought the game was pretty balanced and didn't find many glitches personally, but as i stated I didn't have much time to look. I saw others find glitches and that's great! It helpes the devs out. As for the one thing i found a bit underpowered, the handcannon for pvp, i've posted my thoughts about it. I will just wait for the devs decision on it, even if it remains the same it wouldn't be too big of a deal, it's still a great gun for PvE and I will use it still.

Don't retailers near you give special stuff for pre orders, im getting an upgraded sparrow with an exclusive paintjob and the vanguard armoury weapons and I got beta access all for £5 all for a pre-order....but hey I guess that ONE emblem will probably make you cancel your pre-order now won't it, no? Then I guess its not that big a deal.

Well I preordered when the game was first announced, all they said i would get was a special speedbike thing. When i heard about the newer stuff and the limited editions and such it was too late, everything was sold out at the store i preordered from so i couldn't upgrade. I won't cancel just because of this, was only a bit sad and wanted to state how i felt. As i stated in another post I probably won't even remember when the game comes out. So no worries there.

All this bawling over a flipping emblem. Being in the BETA should have been enough reward, getting to test the game and having glimpse of what is ahead. Now stop all these 'I didn't get my emblem' threads. Ten minutes after Destiny goes live you'll already have chosen a new emblem anyway.

Indeed, I probably won't care when destiny comes out. But at the moment I'm just sad that because I couldn't be on during a specific day, during a specific time, despite being in the alpha and beta, I couldn't get an emblem that others got the day of. I just think it would have been better if they gave it to everyone who has the beta instead of those people who had free time during a specific time of a specific day. That's it. But hey, at least I'm not whining over cancelling my preorder over this or bitching over not playing the moon. It's a great game and I loved playing the beta, this emblem won't boycott me from the game, just made me a bit sad.

True!!! I gotta give u props for not crying about it. And, I actually have to thank you for it. There's too much negativity towards Bungie now that Beta has come and gone and it's absurd. So, thank you for showing that you can have a negative opinion about something in a positive way. Also, I used to go to a lot of music festivals and concerts....know what happened to people who had to work during the show?? They didn't hear the music. ;)

Dude, honestly it was a carrot just to max the numbers for a stress test, nothing more. No one is going to want the same emblem as 200,000 other players, it's fluff. I could understand people getting upset if it was a cool weapon, armour or ship, but hey. Knowing you were one of the BETAS should give you all the smugness you need. See you in the final game

It would have been better if they gave it to you during the beta. But you have to assume you got it.
