Destiny has no black hair styles
Where is my buzz cut or hell at least a fade, it's clear Bungie didn't have black people in mind when making hair styles.
Edit 1: people are defending obvious neglect and racism.
Edit 2: I hope Bungie see this and adds more black hair styles.

6 RepliesAs a black guy I can't help but facepalm at this. First off when has a fade/buzz cut been a black only hairstyle? Have you thought that maybe these are the only available hairstyles at the moment considering this is a beta and all. Secondly why make this a racist thing? When it's probably nothing more then a design oversight by the devs, hell they don't even have beards and that to me is a bigger issue. But don't make it about race when it's clearly not. If you have a complaint or want something added to the game before release then that's what the feedback section of the forums is for. I am sure the developers would be glad to hear from you.

It seemed as if you only really had 2 choices that were aesthetically plausible as a black man. The 1st option which was either Bald or low fade, was hard to tell or those dreads. Neither were appealing, that's why I ended up picking an Exo. So yea I would loved to have seen more ethnic hairstyles to choose from. Don't let all these comments get to you. They knew exactly what you meant & chose to be willfully ignorant.

They won't add any more additions, the full release of Destiny is already being produced and shipped to stores. Maybe in the full release there will be more character customizations, we'll just have to wait and see.

5 RepliesWas trying to make a character for my fiancé and we both quickly realized most of the hair styles had silky smooth hair. There was that one with the dreads but... uhhh... no. Now I think this just points to a larger concern over limited customization in some aspects, but I think having more basic hair styles would be right up there with having a few facial hair options for the guys.

Well there's bald and kind of Mohawk and the rest are David Bowie. So I don't really think they were purposely neglectful. It's just what their art director saw as a futuristic style. But I'd be tempted to take a 70s afro if it was available!

1 ReplyHair is fine, when I made a blackguard I just made him bald, it suited him. i have noticed though a lot of faces on destiny a shaped like black people, big nose/lips, etc. i liked it.
