Should I remove the gas block on an AR?
and replace it with a low-profile one instead? I've got the standard sight post gas block and am considering putting some optics on the AR-platform, but in order to do so, I need to replace the stock gas block and replace it with a smaller one that would not hinder my line of sight.
NOTE: The rifle is chambered in 6.8 SPC, although I'm not sure if it makes any difference.
