Resident Evil 7 coming next year, Xbox One exclusive

Hardly anything is exclusive these days. It'll be out on the PS4 within half a year of release.

1 ReplyBTW RE7 is supposed to be going back to old roots. Capcom acknowledged that people are tired of RE going away from what it is supposed to be. It will not stand a chance against The evil within if it does not.

oh god NOOOOOOOOOO! F*** resident evil. it's just gotten so bad since RE4....after RE4 it goes down the hill in terms of quality, originality and plot. what does it say when the f**ing wii series summary games are better than 5 and 6 plot wise?

That's not really a great loss... I've never been a big RE fan, but from what I've seen Capcom basically gave all the older fans the middle finger and told them to swivel out of the way for the new 'Kid friendly' version. Or that the shitty sales for 6 were because of the fans betraying them. Just going by what I've seen on the news.

Edited by Verios44: 4/1/2014 6:29:03 PMI wonder if capcom can even pay the bill. Last I checked, they had about $250mil in the banks. Not much. Wonders how much would be contract work. And if they want to make a profit, they better return RE to its horror roots. RE 5 and 6 were abysmal.

Hmm... Would be interesting but I don't see microsoft going out of their way to make it exclusive knowing the previous ones were bad, you'd think they'd go for something better. At the same time however that might have made it easier to get the exclusive deal so makes it believable at the same time. Lets just hope they go back to their roots and not the trash that's recently being released.
