When you say that you need to spend time with her before asking her out, do you mean that this is one of those situations where somebody has fallen for someone without actually knowing them? But anyway, just ask her on a date "to get to know each other."

3 Replies3rd tag: I lol'd too much. OT: You seem to be saying the only time you can possibly be with her is while playing in the band, what's wrong with just hanging out outside of band practice? If you're both at the same high school I assume you live reasonably close to her...
