I honestly don't get it. It seems so stupid to pride yourself on something you had no part in choosing. It seems so stupid to give your allegiance to your country alone. I personally just cannot stand the thought of doing something that considered "patriotic" in a truly serious tone. I'll be back in like, 2 hours or so to check up on this topic and see the responses. Please don't leave me hanging. quick edit: I can see people taking defense of their country's core ideals, but so many are similar/mirror other countries that I don't see any reason to use the country as a reason for your need to defend those ideals. aaaaaand I'm back!
