"which console is better?" NO.

I decided to write this because i see these arguments and they are pathetic and unjustified! Who cares what console you will be choosing? Personally i will get the ps4 then save for an Xbox one afterwards! The fact is, destiny is why we are all here in this forum, whether you play it on playstation, or Xbox. It is still going to be a great game on all platforms. So why argue about these things when it is pointless and unnecessary, especially in a place where the majority of people don't actually give a shit what console they will play on. And specifically on a forum solely for topics on Destiny. Oh and those of you on Wii U. Be brave.

  • Both consoles are essentially the same but, the PS4 will have slightly higher stats due to slightly different hardware. The reason I want to know what console people will be playing on is because like with every other game, the community will not be cross-platform, ie: PS4 gamers will not be playing on the same servers as Xbox One players...so with the figures as of 15th June being 44k Xbox One pre-orders, and 75k PS4 pre-orders in North America alone, and with PS4 Day-One Editions sold out and online retailers not taking anymore pre-orders, it seems like the PS4 will have a larger, more diverse community. A lot did change after E3, and Xbox are claiming that Xbox's are now outselling PS4's at the minute (only because PS4's have stopped selling due to reaching max. pre-orders available long before the Xbox One sold out), but as the OP said, we're all pretty much going to buy and play Destiny regardless of which console we buy, but who is going to have the better community? A larger community on a cheaper console might mean you get stuck with every whiny kid that gets bought one for Xmas 2013, while the more expensive Xbox One might only be bought by serious gamers? Who knows? The Xbox One is touted as a "Full Entertainment System" designed to be more of a media centre PC for families and may end up as such while gamers flock to the PS4, or it might not? So being able to work out where people will be playing Destiny and what they will be picking up between November 2013 and Release (Not before March 2014 at LEAST) may help some people make a decision on which console to buy in the near future?
