How many 360's have you gone through?

I got my 360 elite in 2007 and it only failed the day Mass Effect 2 came out (Crashed during gameplay) and due to the error being an E74 error I had it fixed for free and no problems since. So in all I have had the 1st 360 I ever owned.

  • I've gone thru 4. On number 5. Technically 6 because I bought a slim to replace older model.

  • I had a 360 Elite and it broke like almost 2 years after I got it. I have had this other 360 for about 4 years now though. Still kind of bummed it broke in the first place. Oh yeah my second 360 broke, but I got it replaced for free.

  • I'm on my 11th or 12th 360. About 9 of them were within the first 2 years after launch. The slims seem to be built a little better. They still have some freezing problems.

  • Never had to replace my 360. I've had it for three years now and it still runs perfectly.

  • i bought an xbox 360 the day it came out, haven't had any problems besides 1 red ring (and that was the 3 which means a chord was loose)

I've been lucky it seems, cause even though I've got three, none of them have ever RRoD:ed. I did however accidentally kick my first Premium whilst playing Mass Effect, which resulted in a rather loud grinding noice and a scrached disk as well as a broken optical drive. I still use it now and then, to play co-op in a couple of games.

  • Never had to replace a console because of the RROD.

    • Does 1 mean I've gone through one or it's still my first?

      • My Arcade 360 has been going for at least five years. It RRODd a few times, but I smacked it around some and it started working again. I think it'll last until next gen.

      • RRoD twice. It's been okay since the last repair in 2009.

      • My first 360 went through a "half red ring", it was an Arcade Xbox... I later traded it in to gamestop, which had a sale on consoles and trades that weekend and I ended up with an Elite, now this was literally (and I hate to use that, but it's true) the day before Xbox announced the slim... I can't really complain, my Elite is still running strong...

      • Mine died in '07. got a new one that probably wouldn't have lasted much longer, it overheated real easy, so I got the Halo 4 console. But only 1 has actually broken.

      • Bought my first in 2005, but since I've had my own place I bought another one. Original one still works fine, so 2.

      • My friend broke my first one. My second stopped turning on one day, and my third RRoD. After my third I just bit the bullet and bought a slim.

Five, though each replacement was free thanks to a warranty. The worst case was when I got the Halo 3 Xbox 360 as a replacement for one that broke, but it only lasted for four days because it stopped reading discs :/ But it was worth it, I had and still have a-lot of fun with my Xbox 360.
