Destiny-inspired sword (needs suggestions!)

So I've been wanting to make a sword for the last two years, and once summer vacay hit me I knew it was time to act! So I went to Low's and bought an angle bar, rebuilt a forge I had tinkered with last year, and started beating that sexy red-hot steel. The result was a rather rough, but historically accurate, short broadsword. However after having some trouble with a traditional crosspiece (and lacking a powerful welding torch), I decided to veer into cosplay territory. It's still a fully functioning broadsword (you could take it into battle), but it's got a bit of a modern touch. This is where Destiny comes in: First off, I need a name for it. Weapons in Destiny seem to have witty one-liners or intimidating nicknames. Second, I can still modify it a lot, so is there anything I should do to it to make it more space-ish? (BTW the handle it just some green military nylon for now, I have plans for that) The whole thing (the stick is a meter long): http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w489/rabidshrew8u/Sword/null_zpsa11d19b2.jpg Another view: http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w489/rabidshrew8u/Sword/null_zps3a32fad4.jpg Cheers! Progo. UPDATE! This got bumped, so have a look at the finished deal :) http://s1078.photobucket.com/user/rabidshrew8u/library/Sword

 • I'd call it "Heated Discussion" I'd get some sort of cloth wrapping and weave it around the hilt, cross guard, and the base of the blade. Would look cool if you ask me.
