Minimum wage across the country or state lines is stupid to be honest, since costs are higher in population centers. Government should probably subsidize the higher costs if income levels aren't proportionately higher for low wages. I mean, that's poverty level in a city.

They're bottom of the barrel workers who could be replaced on a whim. They deserve minimum wage, that is all.
