Will the USB Port in a Car Support 2 Devices?

I'm receiving a new phone very soon, and I'd like to use it for GPS navigation. But, I do not want to use it for music. Currently, I don't use my phone for navigation, but I use my iPod touch for music. I'd like to be able to plug in both devices into a single USB port in my car. Obviously, it would be as simple as using a Y splitter. The only problem I'm having is power. I'm not sure a single port would be able to power a Nexus 4 and an iPod Touch. How could I go around checking this? I could also use a USB stick for the music instead of the iPod Touch, but I'm not certain how much it would change in my situation. Any suggestions? edit: The exact model is 2012 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5s
