What Stamped Us Out?
The initial vidoc states something tried to stamp us out, I take the vagueness to mean that "something" hasn't been revealed. Some sites falsely reported on the Cabal, but I cannot verify Bungie ever said it was the Cabal that tried to stamp us out, or the Fallen for that matter.
What brought about our near extinction? I would love to get a dialogue going, as I'll be preparing a topic about this very subject on our website.

2 RepliesWell, based upon what I have gathered, it was the Darkness that tried to "stamp us out". Humans are allied with the Traveller and the other races (Cabal, those robot things, the Hive and The Fallen) are allied with the Darkness. So, it is very likely that the Collapse was caused by a combination of those Darkness allied races.

1 Replythe travler was built by the robot race to feed on planets providing them energy; but over time its taken damage from those other races of aliens who've now followed it to earth where it awaits repair. the robots traveld back in time to fix it but the humans are in there way, and the other planetless aliens are hoping to dominate and colonize earth.

8 RepliesThe Traveler was the one who stamped us out. Why do you think it's broken from below? After smashing itself into the ground repeatedly to stamp out Humanity, it suffered significant structural damage.
