Watching both of those montages, it makes me think, why do people have such a big deal with boltshot, but mauler + long range lunge beatdown is significantly more "pro"? I suppose the max kill range of a boltshot is a little longer than mauler's melee range, but I don't think it is significantly longer, while boltshot has a charge up and long cooldown to compensate. I suppose maulers didn't spawn on every map, but most pro players would keep one in their back pocket if possible.
